Better Late Studios Sign Project
Materials : Plywood, adhesive vinyl, table saw and hand router.
"We needed a sandwich board style sign. To display outside our art studio. This sign was made at HackLand, using the table saw and a hand router to cut the slots and curves.
We then had a friend cut some adhesive vinyl; to use as the lettering." - Andrew.

Hnefatafl (Viking Chess) Board Project
Materials : Pine, recycled rimu, wood lathe and CNC machine.
"Hnefatafl, ( sometimes called Viking Chess ) is an interesting board game that differs from common games, like chess or checkers.
I came across the “helmet with nose guard” design for the game pieces in a ‘Pask Makes’ video. I thought it would be great project, for trying my hand at wood turning." - Kartsen

Custom 'Les Paul' Inspired Guitar Project
Materials : Swamp kauri, rosewood, ebony, wood glue, bandsaw, belt sander, laser engraving and gold leaf.
“We printed the plans on A4. Then glued them together. Using the Hackland bandsaw to cut the shape out. We then refined the finish with the belt sander.
The guitar headstock detail was laser engraved. And embellished with gold leaf.” - Guinevere.

Custom Stratocaster Project
Materials : Flame maple, crelicam ebony, ash, assorted guitar parts. CNC Router.
"This is the second guitar I built. My first foray into carving bodies. And the first guitar I made at Hackland. It’s a Hardtail Fender Stratocaster inspired design. That I built for one of my closest friends.
It features a unique paint job. To highlight the grain of the ash wood, on the body. The CNC router was used to make the routing templates. It also features pickups from Mr Glyn. Made here in Aotearoa." - Guinevere.

Materials : 9mm plywood, wood glue, CNC machine, light bulb, wiring.

Parametric Wave Coffee Table Project

Materials : Plywood, wood glue, and toughened glass.
"A coffee table that I created. Using parametric design generation. Design takes 3 parameters as inputs : Height, Width and Length. Then it creates a wavy design of a table, to suit those inputs." - Cameron
